Corriente del Bio, Pinot Noir, 2010, Bio Bio Valley, Chile
This wine is full of ripe, juicy, soft red fruits - loads of red cherry and hints of raspberry on the nose. There are also some slight minty edges too. This wine has a nice, almost Burgundian feel to it and is quite an old world expression of the grape. There is a lovely creamy texture from the use of oak. There's lots of fruit on the palate and the oaky complexity comes through really well. This is a lovely expression of this grape variety, with good tannins and structure. This is good for an everyday Pinot; this wine is good value for money. 3.5/5 (13% abv) Marks & Spencer £7.99
